Our Training
A Word on Our Methods
Regardless of training level, all our dogs are put through extensive social and environmental experiences to ensure sociability and correct responses to non-threatening situations. We train all skill sets in a progressive manner. This allows the canine to develop in a logical way and allows greater understanding of what is being asked of it. In truth, it is the basis of all training done here. We do not house many dogs, but rather procure each canine on a case by case basis per the needs of our client. In short, the dog is trained to fit your needs based on our consultation with you.
We provide our clients with comprehensive training at the point of purchase. We prefer to personally deliver the protection dog and train our clients to handle the dog in a variety of situations. Additionally, refresher courses are scheduled to follow-up with our clients and their canine.
We have a long-term warranty on health and performance. We care about your satisfaction and our reputation. We look forward to serving you, your family, or agency.
Breed Selection
The selection of an appropriate candidate for protection has more to do with the correct drives (behaviors) than anything else. That said, our preference is the German Shepherd for its versatility, ease of training, and livability. We also like the Belgian Malinois however their tenacity can be a deterrent for many families. These are our top choices because both breeds have been bred to do this work which guarantees a level of consistency. However, we have found many examples of breeds that can and do make excellent personal protection dogs including Doberman, Rottweiler, Pit Bull Terrier, American Bulldog and many others. The capable examples of these breeds make excellent candidates. In the end, we match client preference and lifestyle with the most important criteria of proper temperament.
